City Views: Chicago

Chicago is the city where I grew up. It's on this pavement where my foundation was laid. I didn’t set out to make a document of the city, I was making these pictures because the locations had unique characteristics, they were mostly inaccessible to the public. Through these unique perspectives, I was able to capture images that reveal vulnerable, exposed portraits of Chicago’s iconic skyscrapers. Monolithic and omnipresent structures. With the evolution of construction and changing landscape, these images are a document of my time in this space for just a brief moment. While this work presents my time there as an observer, I’ve felt that I’ve also created a document of Chicago over the last decade from a new perspective.

I was given access to different spaces while working in the construction industry, the results are some of the most unique images that very few get to experience. Edition of (12) copies plus (2) A.P.
